An instrumental version of the complete David Mamet play Glengarry Glen Ross. Like the CDs Mamet, Beckett, Samuel, and Barclay, each syllable is represented by a pitch and rhythm.

Radical-to-the-brink-of-displacement reimaginations of the late Beethoven string quartets. Commissioned by the BTHVN2020 Festival. Premiered May 21, 2022. Recorded and mixed in Cologne, June 2023.

A fourth CD of guitar duets with Elliott Sharp. Recorded in August 2023 in New York for Relative Pitch records. Release scheduled for 2024

A suite commissioned by New Atlantis Records. On two days notice the original neurotic bumptious crybaby drummer cancelled on the pretext that the song titles were insufficiently serious. Putz! The recording project was replaced by the solo recording Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame. The compositions have since been performed with a variety of less-troubled percussionists. Recording in 2024.

A musical-theater piece based on the life of the comic-book author and jazz critic Harvey Pekar.

Research and grant-acquisition funding were provided by a GEMA stipend. Composition with the support of a Musikfonds Neu Start stipend, first draft complete, editing underway.

Poise and Wrath

Two suites of about an hour each for theorbo solo. Development of the tablature versions completed with support from a Musikfonds Neu Start Ensembles stipend.

Commissioned by Stephan Rath. To be premiered and recorded in 2024.

Sweatshop Stories

A suite of five true stories about life in Cologne. Originally for — and premiered as — soprano voice and electric guitar. Now orchestrating the suite for the same instrumentation as the Songs of Steve Dalachinsky, Suite One.
